Virtual Training Plans

Looking for some assistance in your training or some extra inspiration to help you reach that PR? Then look no further! This year we're offering a brand new opportunity to help you train for either the 5K or the 20K. Although the training will be provided virtually, these training plans are perfect whether you're training for the in person or virtual event. We'll provide you with a plan that will safely work you up to being able to run the distance of your choice on race day. Included will be recommended daily mileage, when you should take rest days, different workouts and tips on stretching, ideas for your race strategy, and more!

Virtual Training Plans

How It Works

  • Register today!
  • Join the exclusive Virtual Lake Monona 20k/5k Facebook group
  • Receive your training shirt by mail (will be sent to the address you register with)
  • Receive your training plan (both 20k and 5k plans will be sent out in January)
  • Log your miles using your RunSignup account and share your progress in the Facebook group
  • Put all that hard work from your training to the test as you conquer the 5K or 20K either at the event on May 1st or virtually!
